From November 17–21, Mount St. Joseph University will celebrate International Education Week 2025, inviting students to explore global learning opportunities through a week of interactive events, food, and giveaways.
International Education Week, sponsored in part by leading international education organizations, is a national celebration that happens every November at campuses across the country, and this is the first time the Mount is taking part.
Hosted by the Career & Experiential Education Center (CEEC), the week’s programming highlights how studying abroad enhances academic learning, career preparation, and personal growth.
"Study abroad is a high-impact practice and key pillar of experiential learning, and research shows a positive link between studying abroad and higher salaries - through our partners CCSA and AIFS, study abroad can be a truly transformative part of the Mount experience," said Jessica Schueller, Associate Director of the CEEC.
Students who attend events can earn raffle entries to win one of two U.S. passport application fees (a $165 value)—with up to three chances to enter. Winners will be announced Friday, November 21 at 1 p.m. in the CEEC. This initiative helps Mount students obtain passports and prepares them for studying abroad.
International Education Week kicks off Monday, November 17, with the CCSA Study Abroad Showcase (12–12:50 p.m. in the Molloy Room), where students can meet Mount faculty leading upcoming programs. Free lunch will be provided.
On Wednesday, November 19, the Study Abroad Advising Pop-Up will take place from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. in the Seton Lobby. Students can drop by for coffee and donuts while learning how study abroad can fit into their academic and career plans.
The week concludes with the AIFS Study Abroad Presentation on Thursday, November 20 (12–12:50 p.m. in the Molloy Room). An AIFS representative will share fully funded opportunities and answer questions about destinations and scholarships.
International Education Week is a national initiative promoting cross-cultural exchange and global citizenship. At Mount St. Joseph University, it serves as a reminder that every student—no matter their major or background—has the potential to make the world their classroom.
