The SLHS Department will now be offering the new Speech Language Pathology SLP 3+2 program in the fall of 2022.

The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences previously consisted of the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences (SLHS) undergraduate program and the Master of Speech-Language Pathology (MSLP) graduate program. The 3+2 program combines the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences (SLHS) undergraduate degree with the Master of Speech-Language Pathology (MSLP) graduate degree.

 

Format of the SLP 3+2 Program

Students enrolled in the Speech Language Pathology SLP 3+2 program will spend their first three years completing the requirements for the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences (SLHS) undergraduate degree. After the first three years, all eligible students will then progress to the Master of Speech-Language Pathology (MSLP) graduate program during the fall semester of their fourth year. Students will work on completing the requirements for the Master of Speech-Language Pathology (MSLP) graduate degree over the course of two academic years consisting of five semesters.

The format of this program also allows interested students a clear pathway to graduate studies. All eligible SLHS undergraduate students will be automatically accepted into the MSLP program. This program allows all students to efficiently obtain the necessary training and experience to transition into their desired career path at an accelerated rate.
