From the creative arts in MSJ Renaissance to leadership communities like Lions First Scholars, Mosaic Scholars, and Mission Ambassadors, the Mount offers diverse enrichment opportunities that empower students to connect, serve, and excel beyond the classroom.

Mount St. Joseph University offers a dynamic array of student enrichment programs designed to foster creativity, leadership, and community across all majors. Students can engage in hands-on creative expression through the MSJ Renaissance programs, including the Art Guild, MSJ Choir, MSJ Theatre Arts, MSJ University Bands, Peak Productions, and Writer’s Block while earning renewable awards.

Complementing these arts initiatives, the Mount supports holistic student growth through leadership and service programs such as Lions First Scholars, Mosaic Scholars, and Mission Ambassadors. Together, these enrichment programs empower MSJ students to build community, develop practical skills, and live out the University's mission beyond the classroom.

Writing Beyond the Classroom

“I think that it is amazing that the Mount offers these awards and gives students who are creative in some way a chance to express that creativity while being supported," says Noah Douglas, Liberal Arts/Computer Science NLP Major. "Writing, not purely for a class but writing freely, is a part of me, and I like the ability to have that expressed in my education.”
