Empty Space: A Theatrical Webseries

Synopsis: In a world beset by rapid change to the climate astronaut Roberta Bottom seeks an answer. As her journey unfolds she realizes the importance of colleagues, family, and spirit guides. Two paths are before her, what will Robbie choose to do?

A “Voice Over” Christmas Carol

This voice over dubbing of a public domain 1910 silent Christmas Carol Film was presented as part of the Christmas Extravaganza with MSJ Bands, and MSJ Choirs. The video premiered on December 11, 2020. The recording is available via our YouTube channel or via our Facebook page.
Synopsis: A Christmas Carol is a play about an old miser named Ebenezer Scrooge. Scrooge hates the Christmas season and is extremely mean to the people around him. Late on Christmas Eve he is visited by spirits. The Ghost of Christmas takes Scrooge on an incredible journey to show him the error of his ways. Scrooge awakes on Christmas morning filled with the spirit of Christmas, vowing to fill the world with cheer.
Spring Special Project
Black Flag
Viewing Information:
This special project will be a part of the Theatre for Social Justice Forum taking place on Wednesday February 24 from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. The play Black Flag, directed by guest Artist Candice Handy, will be performed live and followed by an open discussion forum about topics inspired by the play. Synopsis: The play Black Flag explores the relationship between two freshman college students who are new roommates. What happens when one of them decided to decorate their room with a symbol of southern pride? This compassionate and provocative play by Idris Goodwin has been generously made available for educational use. Synopsis: She Kills Monsters tells the story of Agnes Evans as she leaves her childhood home in Ohio following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. When Agnes finds Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, however, she stumbles into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was Tilly’s refuge. In this high-octane dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and 90s pop culture, acclaimed young playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.
