Dan Emsicke has been in Advancement for over 22 years, and joined Mount St. Joseph University in 2022. He started his career with Xavier University and came to the Mount from the University of Dayton. He has also supported fundraising efforts at Miami University and Northern Kentucky University. Dan is a Xavier alum and resides on the eastside of Cincinnati. When asked what he loves most about his role at the Mount, Dan said, "I love meeting with alums and friends of the university and talking about our excellent academic programs. I look forward to partnering with alums and friends on opportunities that will enhance the students experience at MSJ."

Tricia Sarvak '97 is in her fifth year working at the University, but has been part of the Mount community for many years. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design from MSJ and is currently in the Mount’s Masters of Science in Organizational Leadership program. After several years of working as a graphic designer, In 2017, Tricia came “home” to work in Communications and Marketing, then the Office of Student Affairs, prior to joining Institutional Advancement in 2021. Engaging with the students and fellow Alumni is her favorite part of working at her alma mater.

Shannon Zoz is the Manager of Foundation and Government Grants in the Institutional Advancement Department. Over the past 10 years, she has worked in several capacities as a grant writer and fundraising specialist. Shannon also has a background in education in the legal studies and criminal justice fields. Shannon graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a B.A. in Political Science and received a Juris Doctor of Law from Ohio Northern University.

A 2012 MSJ grad, Jimmy-Dan has joined the IA team to improve the background processes to which assist the IA team reach out to all alumni and donors. “The possibilities are endless to enhance how we contact our alumni and donors, I am so excited to be on this journey and for it to be with MSJ just makes it that much more exciting.”

Melissa Rouse started her journey at Mount St. Joseph University in 2015 as a Custodian with Buildings & Grounds. After her first role, she worked three separate office roles in the Financial Aid office. As both a full-time employee and a mother of a young child, Melissa earned her B.A. in Liberal Arts from Mount St. Joseph University in 2021. She credits her roles and the education she received at Mount St. Joseph University as preparation for gaining both the skills and understanding of the core values and mission that the University strives for daily. Albeit a non-traditional student, Melissa felt welcomed and reassured while working full-time and simultaneously pursuing her education. Melissa is passionate about coordinating, building community, and strengthening connections as a member of the Institutional Advancement Alumni team. She is also excited to provide a welcoming and positive experience as a staff advisor for the Students Today Alumni Tomorrow Club and by welcoming back her fellow alumni.

Robin Keys serves as the Administrative Assistant to Vice Presidents Dr. Chris Powers and Sydney Prochazka. Robin is homegrown being born and raised in Cincinnati. She comes to the Mount after spending many years with Cincinnati Public Schools as the Executive Assistant for the Community Partnership department, DEI, and College Manager.
