Biography:

 

Maria Jackson is an employee-relations professional with 15 years of extensive healthcare and retail management experience.  As the director of 60,000 associates at one of the nation's 20 biggest healthcare systems, Maria managed the gamut of issues that arise among staff and management in a high-stress medical setting. She also managed employee relations for a leading retailer, giving her an edge for understanding the power of positive employee relations in a range of industries. This specialized knowledge helps her address areas of employee vulnerability in healthcare systems and retail environments. She is enormously experienced in pinpointing and balancing staff concerns within market-driven human resource environments.  Additionally, for the last decade Maria has designed and taught courses as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Cincinnati. 
 
Maria has a bachelor's degree in organizational leadership and a master's degree in human resources from the University of Cincinnati.   As a doctoral student in business administration at the University of Maryland, Maria is conducting a quantitative analysis examining areas of employee relations vulnerability within the workforce, specifically healthcare systems.
