Biography:
Larry Welsh serves as Adjunct Faculty in the School of Education. He is a University Supervisor for Music Teaching Practicum and Student Teaching. He holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from Miami University. Graduate studies include University of Cincinnati, University of Wisconsin at Whitewater, Miami University and College of Mount Saint Joseph focused on Psychology, Educational Philosophy and Ethics.
His career spans 40 years of Music Education in Kentucky and Ohio: Band, Orchestra, Choir, Music Theory, Music History, Music Technology, Band Clinician, Adjudicator and Guest Conductor. He concurrently held band instructional posts at the University of Cincinnati and College of Mount Saint Joseph. Professional associations include Music Educators National Conference, National Association of Jazz Educators, Ohio Music Education Association, National School Orchestra Association, Curriculum Development with the National Association of Secondary School Principals, North Central Association of Colleges and Schools Higher Learning Commission and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education. He served as a Trustee of the Oak Hills Alumni and Educational Foundation. In 2022 Mr. Welsh was inducted into the Three Rivers Local School District Acclaim Foundation Hall of Fame for lifetime contributions to the arts.
