Experience the dynamic voices of modern Asian American and Pacific Islander creativity at this multifaceted exhibition.
Studio San Giuseppe Gallery at Mount St. Joseph University is proud to announce Creative Asian Society, an extended exhibition showcasing the rich diversity, heritage, and contemporary expression of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) artists in the Greater Cincinnati region.
Opening on January 20 through March 18, 2026, this multifaceted exhibition highlights the dynamic interplay of cultural tradition and modern artistic practice, offering an expanded look at the voices shaping AAPI creativity today.
The visual arts exhibition will feature works by the following artists:
- Karl Feng;
- Yu Ling Huang;
- Eunshin Khang;
- Setsuko LaCroix;
- John Lanzador;
- JeeEun Lee;
- Priya Rama;
- John Tsuchiya;
- Tom Tsuchiya;
- Yufeng Wang.
These artists represent a wide range of cultural backgrounds and artistic disciplines, united by their innovative approaches and meaningful connections to Asian heritage.
In addition to the visual artwork, the exhibition will present live performances by regional cultural and collegiate groups, including Cincinnati Dayton Taiko Drum Group, Sound of Joy Choir, Eunhwa Lee, Dancing Kimonas, Elizabeth Keller, MSJ Chamber Choir, and MSJ Concert Band.
A special performance showcase and visual art reception will take place in Studio San Giuseppe Gallery on Saturday, January 31, from 1-4 p.m. Guests are invited to enjoy live performances, meet artists, and explore the exhibition in the gallery.
Further, an Artist Talk featuring several participating visual artists will be held in Studio San Giuseppe Gallery on Sunday, March 1, from 2-4 p.m. This conversation will offer deeper insight into the artists’ processes, inspirations, and cultural perspectives.
