The Mount Celebrated the Fall 2025 Parent Academy Graduates

parent academy fall 2025 graduates

The Parent Academy of CISE & Mount St. Joseph University made it their main mission to break the cycle of poverty by helping more low-income students access a college pathway. They do this by empowering parents with information and strategies to support their students academically and on their path to college and career. The Parent Academy Program is an 8-week program designed to empower parents and caregivers with the tools and knowledge to support their child’s academic success. By fostering growth, encouraging hard work, and providing financial aid resources, families help students thrive. Advocacy and human connection ensure students receive the support they need, from school challenges to exploring college and career options.

“Last fall’s Graduation and Parent Academy sessions concluded on a high note, bringing together families and participants from both St. Lawrence and St. Francis de Sales for a memorable joint graduation celebration. The season was filled with meaningful dialogue, shared learning experiences, and moments of connection as parents and participants engaged fully in the academy sessions and reached an important milestone together. The joint ceremony beautifully reflected the unity between both schools, highlighting shared values, collective pride, and a strong commitment to family engagement and lifelong learning. Through the knowledge, skills, and confidence gained in the program, parents are better equipped to support their children, strengthening families and positively impacting the lives of children for years to come.” Johanna Richardson, MSW, Parent Academy Program Director
