3. Why did you choose the Mount?

I transferred to the Mount my sophomore year after two semesters at Ohio Wesleyan. I knew that I wanted to go to a smaller university out of high school because I feel that it is a more personal experience between myself and professors as well as other students. I transferred back down to Cincinnati when I realized the impact of having a lack of family time. I've found the Mount to be incredibly accepting and kind to all different students and could not imagine how much I would have missed out on if I had not transferred.

4. Favorite aspect or memory of Writer’s Block?

I don't have one particular favorite memory of Writer's Block because every meeting is influential. I love getting to know about my classmates every time I sit down and discuss our writing and love seeing how our own interests and styles affect how and what we write about. My favorite part of being involved with Writer's Block through service learning was highlighting our individual members through our Instagram page. As I mentioned before, getting to know everyone and seeing different perspectives is my favorite part of Writer's Block, so doing a more in-depth dive into everyone was very insightful. I loved showcasing that people from all majors and backgrounds find themselves at home with Writer's Block and hope that everyone who sees our posts feels welcome to join.

5. Post-graduation plans/goals?

I haven't decided exactly what I want to do after graduation. I'm hopeful that I can always continue learning, reading, and writing, no matter where that takes me.
