The Career & Experiential Education Center hosted its 2024 Fall Career Fair to provide professional opportunities for students.
On Wed., Oct. 9 from Noon-2 p.m. in the Theatre Gallery and Lobby, the Career & Experiential Education Center at the Mount hosted 30+ organizations who arrived on campus to hire MSJ students for co-ops/internships and full-time jobs. With nearly half the organizations open to hiring all majors, there were opportunities for all students to network with potential employers.
Students dressed professionally and passed out copies of their resumes. They also had the opportunity to demonstrate their professionalism and preparedness for potential opportunities. “We’ve been working with students for weeks to get their resumes ready and to pick out the right clothing for today’s event,” said Director of the Career & Experiential Education Center, Amanda Meeker.
Many local employers regularly attend career fairs at the Mount because they love to hire our hard-working and talented students. “The Mount always performs above and beyond with students. It is a great opportunity to meet prospective candidates!” said Rhonda Wabrick from Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.
ArtWorks Cincinnati, Medpace, Brixey & Meyer CPA, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati Sports Club, and City of Cincinnati were some among many of the employers and non-profits attending the event.
"The energy at the career fair was electric! Students were excited to network with employers and learn about new opportunities," said Meeker.
