Dear Mount Community,

Today, we stand in awe and gratitude for the remarkable achievement of the Mater Dei Chapel's being named to the National Register of Historic Places. This prestigious recognition is a testament to the unwavering commitment and passion of a select group of individuals who have poured their hearts and souls into assuring the preservation of this architectural gem--and the story of the women who made it possible.

Please join me in thanking the dedicated members of the Mount Community who collaborated to further the Mount's Mission, Heritage, and values through the March 19 celebration of the Chapel's recognition; it was, indeed a joyful celebration!

Michelle Arnold, Greg Goldschmidt, Amanda Absher, Stacy Decker, Janet Cox, Buddy Fristoe, Mark McCafferty, Kelsey DeMange, Scott Lloyd, Tricia Sarvak, Don Gilbert, Chloe Seckman, Nesta Hampton, John Spinney, Kelly Kistner, and, of course, Sister Karen Elliott, as the team leader, collaborated well to bring to fruition this watershed recognition event.

Please help me thank Sister Karen and this tremendous team of our colleagues for their extraordinary contributions to the Mater Dei Chapel's historic achievement!

Sincerely,

H. James Williams, Ph.D.
President
