CINCINNATI – Mount St. Joseph University (MSJ) hosted a Naturalization Ceremony for 100 people who became U.S. citizens on Friday, November 12. MSJ’s theatre officially became a U.S. federal courthouse for the day.
The Honorable Karen L. Litkovitz was the U.S. Magistrate Judge and took the oath of the new citizens. U.S. Congressman Steve Chabot was also in attendance to greet the group. MSJ color guard presented the flag and the MSJ University Singers sang the national anthem.
Each new citizen went on stage to receive their certificate. U.S. Marshalls were also on location for security. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 restrictions, the general public could not attend.
