According to Dr. Withrow, there are over 700,000 social workers in the United States, making it one of the fastest-growing professions.

"Social Work is a licensed and critically trained profession to where social workers learn competencies to work with individuals to help them address any individual and systemic barriers that they have for optimal living," says Dr. Withrow. "We are front-line essential workers, and we are a crisis-trained, ready workforce, so we are out there on the front lines and adapting what we do to meet the socio-economic and mental health needs of the individuals that we serve."
