We are thrilled to announce that the University Choruses: University Singers, Chamber Choir, and contemporary a cappella group, Voices of Gold, from Mount St. Joseph University, will be embarking on an extraordinary journey to New York City this Spring, 2025. This unique opportunity will see our talented vocalists perform in some of New York’s most prestigious cathedrals, sharing their passion for music and showcasing their exceptional talent. Additionally, they will have the privilege of visiting the Sisters of Charity in New York, further enriching their experience and broadening their horizons.
In order to make this dream a reality, we are reaching out to our community for support. Your generous donations will help cover travel expenses, accommodation, and other necessary costs to ensure that our students can participate in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Your contribution will not only support their artistic growth but also foster a deeper connection with the rich cultural heritage of New York City.
Our choir family recently shared powerful performances during our Spirituals and Gospels concert, moving our audience with soulful renditions that celebrated our shared heritage and history. Last year, we rocked the stage with our MSJ Rocks Concert, demonstrating our versatility and commitment to exploring diverse musical genres. These experiences have not only honed our skills but have also strengthened the close bonds we share as a musical family. Each rehearsal at the Mount is filled with joy, camaraderie, and the shared passion for creating beautiful music together.
