Biography:
Susan Cavanaugh joins the Department of Business Administration as a Visiting Instructor for the Marketing major and the MBA program. An accomplished brand director with 30 years of experience at Procter & Gamble, Susan was recently inducted into the 2024-25 Marquis Who’s Who. Susan brings extensive expertise in all key areas of marketing, with a particular focus on brand management, media, and multicultural marketing. Known for her disruptive innovation, she created a multi-brand campaign for the 2014 World Cup that increased market share among Hispanic consumers.
Beyond marketing, Susan excels in operations. She played a pivotal role in building an in-house media organization for P&G Beauty Care. Her trademark is delivering creative, engaging, and often humorous training sessions and events. She founded The Cavanaugh Media Courier, a bi-weekly internal publication, and established the Media Advantage Awards, both of which fostered knowledge-sharing and skill development across the brand organization.
Susan's passion for learning fueled her transition into education. In June 2024, she earned an Alternative Teaching License in Business Administration from Ohio State University's Intensive Pedagogical Training Institute (IPTI). She is a guest speaker for the marketing programs at both Elder and Seton High Schools. She also is an assistant cross-country coach at Seton High School.
