Biography:
Brittany Humphreys is an Instructor and Clinical Supervisor in the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Kentucky and has been a practicing speech-language pathologist since 2008.
Brittany has worked in medical, educational, and early intervention settings, serving individuals across the lifespan. Her primary passion is working with young children (birth to five) and their families, with a strong focus on parent coaching and caregiver empowerment. Her clinical interests include augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), social communication development, neurodiversity-affirming practices, and the impact of sensory integration on communication skills.
She values interprofessional collaboration and is passionate about mentoring graduate clinicians as they develop confidence, clinical competence, and professional identity.
Brittany lives in California, Kentucky, with her husband and three children.
