Department Overview
Students who choose a communication and new media studies degree learn to apply communication theory and critical thinking in various communication settings. They learn about the role communication plays in the social construction of meaning, and develop the ability to communicate effectively, ethically and creatively.
The Department of Communication and New Media Studies works to deepen students’ understanding of the formative role communication plays in shaping:

We offer a Bachelor of Arts or Associate in Arts degree in Communication and New Media Studies. We offer minors in Communication and New Media Studies and Written Communication.
