A grant is a financial aid award typically based on your financial need, and it does not need to be repaid. Grants come from multiple sources including the Mount, the federal government and the Ohio state government. Eligibility is determined upon receipt of a completed FAFSA. Check out the list of available grants below to learn more.

Pell Grant
Award: $767-$7,395
Source: Federal
Requirement: Students must demonstrate financial need to qualify for this grant.

Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
Award: $4,000 maximum
Source: Federal
Requirement: Students must demonstrate financial need to qualify for this grant.

Ohio College Opportunity Grant
Award: $4,700
Source: State of Ohio
Requirement: Students must demonstrate financial need and be an Ohio resident to qualify for this grant.

 

TEACH Grant
The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program offers assistance to students who intend to teach in a high-need field and in a school that serves students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. Catholic Educator Grant
The Mount is pleased to offer a limited number of Catholic Education Grants to teachers in Catholic schools. These grants will reduce the cost of tuition to $365 per credit hour for an academic year. Eligibility to apply for the continuation of the grant beyond the initial year is based on maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA, continued employment at a Catholic school, and the University’s decision to continue this grant at the specified amount.
