Mount St. Joseph University has released its spring 2018 issue of Mount News Magazine. The magazine is in print as well as available online. Print copies are available by emailing the office of Alumni relations at

Several academic, institutional, and human interest stories are featured:

• Social Learning, Social Impact (pg. 6-9)
Students and faculty of the sociology and social work programs mirror the Mount’s values.

• Change in the Air (pg.10-15)
From 1965 to 1980, the Mount embraced nontraditional students, expanded its offerings, and adapted to reflect the rapidly changing needs of society. This piece is part of an ongoing series about the Mount’s Centennial.

• Once Upon an Office (pg. 16-21)
You can tell a lot about people by their office, especially when it comes to MSJ faculty whose scholarship, travel, and research are reflected in their work environments.

• Rallying to Win  (pg. 24)
Meet Wyatt Myers, an MSJ baseball pitcher with a truly inspirational story. In 2016, he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, but his fighting spirit persisted.
