Mount St. Joseph University congratulates Karl Zuelke, Ph.D. on his collection of poems “Petting the Bumblebees”. The book was set to be released in early June 2019.

“Without apology, the living world Zuelke conjures in his paradoxical spell of language resists fixed perceptions about the way of things,” writes author and professor and director of Creative Writing Vision at Thomas More University, Sherry Cook Stanforth, in the book’s blurb, “We hear, taste, touch, see and feel our way through the wild and unpredictable geographies of co-existence.”

Karl Zuelke, Ph.D., is the director of the Mount’s Writing Center as well as the Math & Science Center at the Mount, where he also teaches. He earned undergraduate degrees in biology and English literature as well as a Ph.D. in American literature from the University of Cincinnati.
