MPA, Drake University; B.A., Western Michigan University

Corey Watt’s passion for career and professional development is deeply rooted in his personal journey. As a first-generation college student, Corey headed off to college and declared a major based on his limited experience and exposure to career options. Throughout college, he was involved in student activities and served in the student government, becoming student body president his senior year.

The range of co-curricular experiences opened Corey’s eyes to the world of public service and launched his career in a direction unrelated to his degree. For more than 20 years, he has served others in the fields of career/workforce development, law enforcement, and constituent engagement which have provided him with a unique perspective and approach to identifying opportunities and process improvement.

Corey has presented at numerous professional conferences, is heavily involved in the community, and been recognized for his service and expertise. He is excited to be a part of the Mount and looks forward to building capacity and increasing the caliber of opportunities for our students and alumni.
