B.A. Communication and New Media Studies, Mount St. Joseph University
Jessica graduated in 2014 from Mount St. Joseph University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and New Media Studies. She also pursued a minor in Sociology that focused on family dynamics.
During her time at the Mount, Jessica was a writer for the student newspaper and participated in Cooperative Education (Co-op), a professional development program that allows students to develop work experience that aligns closely with one’s major and desired career path. Her co-ops included opportunities in the non-profit sector with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Cincinnati and the SC Ministry Foundation. “I greatly enjoyed my co-op positions, because they allowed me to directly apply knowledge from the classroom to real world experiences. I also enjoyed being introduced to the non-profit field and coming to the realization that I would like to establish my career in this field.”
As an alum, Jessica is looking forward to working with students, and their families, as they transition into their next momentous chapter in life. She is excited to share firsthand experiences of why the Mount is a great community to be a part of. “The entire Mount community truly wants what is best for students. As a student, I always felt this way. Now, as an Admission Counselor, I look forward to reassuring future students that this belief is held and practiced all across the campus.”
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, yearly weekend trips to Chicago, and reading.
