Admission: Getting Started!

Preparing for and deciding on a college to attend is definitely a family decision. Mount St. Joseph University is aware that getting started with the college search and application process can seem a little overwhelming at times. We want to assist you in making the process as streamlined as possible.

If your son or daughter is in 8th, 9th, 10th or 11th grade you may find Making High School Count, a helpful resource to review, providing pointers on how to get the most out of your high school experience.

At The Mount, as you begin to explore you will find a Catholic academic community, founded by the Sisters of Charity in 1920.  The Mission of Mount St. Joseph University stresses interdisciplinary liberal arts and professional curricula emphasizing values, integrity and social responsibility.  We encourage you to visit us and see all the Mount has to offer.

Start the application process  by reviewing information that best fits your student whether they attend  high school, are home schooled or will be transferring from another institution. The Mount is on rolling admission and students can Apply for Admission as early as September of their senior year.

In recognition that  the cost of higher education continues to increase nationally,  we encourage you to visit Financial Aid to make sure your son or daughter are aware of all scholarship and financial aid opportunities available at the Mount.
