The Department of Public Safety & Campus Police is located on the lower level of the Seton Center (next to the vending machine area). The staff of police officers are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
To reach an officer, dial extension 4226 from any campus phone, 513-244-4226 from an off-campus phone. An officer can also be reached by dialing 0 from any campus phone.
All emergencies or unusual activity should be reported immediately to the Department of Public Safety & Campus Police. After being notified, we will dispatch appropriate personnel and emergency equipment to the scene.
Mission & Vision Statement
The primary mission of the College of Mount St. Joseph Department of Public Safety & Campus Police is to maintain social order within prescribed state and constitutional laws while providing professional law enforcement services to the college community.
MountSafe is a system used by the College to notify students, faculty, and staff members of weather-related closings or delays as well as campus emergency or crisis situations via phone messages (voice and text) and email messages.
The cooperation and involvement of students, faculty and staff in any campus safety program is absolutely necessary. All members of the College community must assume responsibility for their own safety and the security of their property by taking simple, common-sense precautions.

Crime & Fire Safety Statistics
The reporting of crime statistics are in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Act and the Department of Education. The crime log that includes all crimes reported on the College of Mount St. Joseph Campus is available for review in the Department of Public Safety & Campus Police & Campus Police during regular business hours.
