The College of Mount St. Joseph presented the 2013 Distinguished Nontraditional Student award to Greg Williams, a senior studying music education. The Distinguished Student Awards are the highest honors the Mount bestows on graduating seniors in the traditional and nontraditional baccalaureate programs and the graduate programs. The recipients must demonstrate superior academic performance, community service in keeping with the Christian mission of the College and dynamic interpersonal communication skills in academic and community settings.

Williams is the liturgical coordinator for the campus ministry program, and helps to prepare campus Sunday night and holy day Masses, as well as other prayer services and devotions throughout the year.

He is most proud of his 4.0 GPA and graduating summa cum laude. He is also proud of his contributions to the music department, such as accompanying friends in recitals and playing concerts with performing ensembles.

Williams is from Bright, Ind.
