Mount to remember Martin Luther King, Jr. with celebration

The College of Mount St. Joseph will honor Martin Luther King, Jr. on Friday, January 25 with a luncheon featuring local attorney Norma Holt Davis as the keynote speaker. Entertainment will be provided by Xavier Roberson and Waymond Dean. This year's theme is "Recognizing our Past, Respecting our Present and Taking Ownership of our Future." The events will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the College Theatre Lobby. It is open to the public.

Davis has practiced law for more than 25 years. She received her undergraduate degree from Tuskegee University and law degree from the University of Cincinnati. She is licensed in Ohio and Kentucky, and in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. She served two years as president of the Cincinnati NAACP chapter and is very involved in the community, including being a member of Leadership  Cincinnati and YWCA Career Women of Achievement. Davis and her husband live in North Avondale.
