More than 300 undergraduate and graduate students will receive their diplomas at Mount St. Joseph University's commencement on Saturday, May 13 which will be held in the Harrington Center. The Commencement ceremonies will be held at 10 a.m. for graduate and adult students, and at 2:30 p.m. for traditional undergraduate students.
The morning ceremony will feature a keynote address by Jim Scott, a longtime Cincinnati radio personality. He will be awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree for his career in radio, his passion to help others and his dedication to nonprofit organizations in Cincinnati. Graduate Distinguished Student, Sophia Cunningham, will offer the student address for the morning ceremony.
The afternoon ceremony will feature a keynote address by Wendy Lea, CEO of Cintrifuse, a public private partnership designed to build a tech-based economy in the Greater Cincinnati region. She will be awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree for her passion as an entrepreneur, the impact she is having on the Greater Cincinnati business community and sharing her time with numerous organizations. Undergraduate Distinguished student, Rachel Jackson, will offer the student address for the afternoon ceremony.
Special parking arrangements have been made to accommodate the large number of people at the Mount that day. Members of the Mount St. Joseph Police Department and Institutional Advancement request that everyone honor the following arrangements:
· The rear lot of Harrington Center is reserved for commencement speakers, their families and special guests, as well as other guests with disabilities.
· The driveway between the Harrington Center/Art Building and Seton Center will be open only to pedestrians – closed to through traffic. Parking is prohibited along the south driveway, which includes the parking spaces facing the Health Sciences Suite.
