Mount Social Work Majors Present at National Association of Social Workers Conference

Nine social work major students from the College of Mount St. Joseph attended the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) conference. Three students presented their research posters at the conference with one student taking first place in the state of Ohio.

Mount Student Presenters

Senior Jenny Ramirez used evaluation research to analyze an educational prevention program. Her poster, titled Stewards of Children©: An Effective Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Program?, was awarded the honor of first place in the state of Ohio.

Graduating senior Christina Langhorst’s poster featured findings from her survey research study, Relationship Between Cyber Bullying and 24-hour Access to a Personal Computer and Maintaining a Social Media Account.

Another graduating senior, Natalie Neshite, conducted a secondary data analysis of a national study with her poster, Role of Fathers:  Does the Lack of Paternal Involvement Impact Children’s Behavior?
