College of Mount St. Joseph senior Evan Lolli was selected to receive the 2013 AICUO Award for Excellence in the Visual Arts. Only six students from AICUO colleges and universities received the award. This year's competition included students for more member institutions than ever in the awards' six-year history, with arguably its most diverse group of portfolios.

The students were judged by a dozen arts faculty members from AICUO-member campuses after being nominated as outstanding seniors by their institution. Their work will now be judged by 11 visual arts community leaders from across the state and a leading Ohio legislator, Rep. Cliff Rosenberger, chairman of the House Higher Education Finance Subcommittee, to determine the grand award winner. The awards will be presented at Denison University on April 3.

Lolli is majoring in fine arts with a minor in art history.
