Results from the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) show 91.67% of the 2012 graduates in the BSN program at the College of Mount St. Joseph passed the mandatory licensure examination on their first attempt.  The preliminary results also show that Mount graduates in the MAGELIN program (Master's Entry Level Into Nursing) had a pass rate of 95.56%.

Mount nursing faculty integrate innovative learning strategies throughout program to assure that students are as prepared as possible for this challenging exam. The Mount’s nursing learning lab, which opened in May 2010, enables health sciences faculty to teach more real-life lessons to smaller groups, increasing the amount of hands-on learning.  The lab includes a high fidelity simulation lab using SimMan 3G technology, an IV simulation room, a 12-bed station updated skills lab that mimics the hospital room of today.
