The College of Mount St. Joseph is hosting Delhi Day on Saturday, October 6 at the football game against Franklin College.  The game starts at 1:30 p.m.  Delhi residents can pick up free tickets for the game at these participating locations: Delhi Kroger, Delhi Remke/bigg’s, Maloney’s, LaRosa’s on Rapid Run, and Wishbone Tavern.

Festivities begin at noon on Midland Plaza.  The Delhi Police and Fire Departments will be on hand at the game to give children and adults an up close look at some of their equipment and talk about safety.  The Delhi Historical Society and Western Hills Garden Club will also have booths set up.  A color guard from the American Legion and veterans will have a ceremony on the field before kickoff.  The Mount’s Veterans in Communities organization will “Pass the Boot” at the game to raise money which will be split between the American Legion and the Delhi Veterans Assocation.

The Mount is Delhi’s largest employer and this is a way for the College to celebrate the community and to thank residents for their support of the Mount and its students.

“The Mount is proud to partner with the businesses and organizations that help make Delhi a wonderful community,” said Steve Radcliffe, athletic director at the Mount.  “The Mount has been a part of Delhi since 1920 and we look forward to many years to come.  We hope this is an opportunity to bring residents together to enjoy a great football game.”

The College of Mount St. Joseph is an undergraduate and graduate Catholic college that provides an interdisciplinary liberal arts and professional curriculum emphasizing values, service and social responsibility.
