Lisa came to the Mount because of its family-like community and pursued a major in music. Lisa was involved in many of the Mount’s student organizations. She performed in the annual Sophomore Review, was involved in student clubs, and worked at the Seton desk. Her greatest memory of her time at the Mount was a mission trip to Colorado. She said, “It was a cool experience - getting to know and learning from fellow students, engaging with the families, experimenting with new skills. It was an experience that taught me a lot about myself, my capacity and the importance of volunteering. I’m very proud of how prominently the role of being ‘in service’ holds tradition in the Mount experience.”
After the Mount, Lisa went on to further her education at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, receiving a Master’s in College Student Personnel Services. She also has a Master’s in Leadership and Change from Antioch University and a Leadership Coaching certification from Georgetown University. Lisa is also pursuing a Ph.D. in Leadership and Change from Antioch University.
Lisa was previously the Vice President of Employee Engagement at Macy’s, and she now owns her own company, [curious] leadership +change agency, in downtown Cincinnati. She says, “[curious] gives me the chance to engage in relevant research important to practice in the contemporary workplace, while uplifting people and their companies through the consulting and coaching work we do. Our current focus is on organizational culture, leadership development, and HR strategy and practice.”
Lisa continues to be engaged with the Mount by serving as a panelist for Connect to Your Future, an event for students to engage with alumni and ask questions about their career.
