Mount St. Joseph University Commencement ceremonies to be held May 7, 2016

More than 400 undergraduate and graduate students will receive their diplomas which will be held in the Harrington Center at Mount St. Joseph University.

The Commencement ceremonies will be held at 10 a.m. for graduate and adult students, and at 2:30 p.m. for traditional undergraduate students.

Sister Jeanne Bessette, the president and CEO of DePaul Cristo Rey High School, will receive an honorary degree at the graduate and adult ceremony. She will receive an honorary degree for her lifelong commitment to the field of education, her dedication to her religious community and her hope that through education all children have the opportunity to become the best they can. Jill P. Meyer ’93, president of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, will address the traditional students during the afternoon ceremony. She will also be awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree for her continuous devotion to the Mount, her extensive service to the community, and her deep compassion for the arts and the city of Cincinnati. Donald “Buddy” LaRosa, the CEO and founder of LaRosa’s, will also be awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree for his outstanding career, his extensive civic service in the community and his dedication to the youth of Cincinnati. He will receive his honorary degree at the afternoon ceremony.

This commencement marks the first cohort of students in the Mount's Saturday MBA program.
