Earlier this month, alumnae from the Class of 1955 gathered from all over the United States to celebrate their 80th birthdays together. The group of 22 ladies gathered for a cruise on the River Queen at BB Riverboats followed by dinner at the home of Joan Drach Rebeck ’55. In addition to the opportunity to reminisce and enjoy a slice of birthday cake from Bon Bonnerie, the ladies were also able to catch up with one another and bond as a class. Mary Purcell Dyar ’55 said, “I’m closer to some people now than I was when I was at the Mount.” Happy 80th Birthday to the ladies in the Class of ’55!
Thank you to Mary Dyer Purcell for notifying us of the event and also a big thank you to the committee who organized it: Mary Purcell Dyar, Joan Drach Rebeck, Nancy Savage, Carol Higdon Roberto, and Jane Stoeckinger Abraham.
