Konopka receives Emerging Scholar Award from the College of Mount St. Joseph

The College of Mount St. Joseph presented the 2013 Emerging Scholar Award to Adam Konopka, Ph.D., an assistant professor of philosophy at the Mount. The annual award is presented to a tenure track assistant professor who has achieved outside validation that the kind and direction of his or her scholarly work has potential to make a significant contribution to the discipline.

Konopka has been a member of the Mount’s faculty for three years, and teaches philosophy and environmental sustainability courses. He said that he especially enjoys teaching classes about environmental ethics.

Konopka lives in Northside with his wife, Erica, and enjoys catching frogs outside with their two sons, Skip and Junior.
