Mount St. Joseph University's nursing faculty held the second annual nursing white coat ceremony for second-year BSN students and their families in Mater Dei Chapel.

The white coat ceremonies have been held for years in many health care professional programs. Last year, the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, in conjunction with the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, initiated the Nursing White Coat Ceremony. The ceremony is a rite of passage for students who are progressing into the clinical portion of the nursing program. Receiving the white coat symbolizes the student-nurse's induction into the patient care setting and his/her commitment to provide the highest quality patient care.

Congratulations to our students!
