Department of Sociology and Social Work to hold open house for National Social Work Month

Social workers help people overcome life's most difficult challenges and the troubles of everyday living. They make sure people have the help they need from a variety of resources. Social workers are employed in a variety of career of institutions from hospitals to schools to agencies. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the number of social workers is expected to grow 12% from 2012 to 2024.

Mount St. Joseph University's Department of Sociology and Social Work will hold an Open House on Wednesday, March 22 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Corona Room in Seton Center. All are welcome to drop in to learn more about the Mount's program and network with faculty, alums and our Social Work Advisory Board members for informal discussions.
