Ruth Kuechly Hanley ’56 of Indianapolis, Ind., has published her first novel “No Pulling Back”, a story told through the eyes of a dog. It has been five kids and seventeen grandchildren later. She has been a reporter and photographer for "the Criterion" of the Indianapolis Archdiocese as well as editor of the state "Right to Life Communicator." She was accepted into the Indiana State Bar twenty-three years ago and practiced law before retiring in 2010. She married her husband the month after graduation and they have five kids and seventeen grandchildren.
Jeannine Quast Bedel ’77 of St. Charles, Mo. writes “I’m anxious for grandchild number four coming any day. I already have three girls so I’m especially excited about this little boy. I’ve had so much fun with my girls and can’t wait to add a boy to the mix!”
Bobbie Compton ‘97 of Cincinnati was promoted to assistant vice president at Fifth Third Bancorp downtown.
Nicole Nicholson Lindsey ’99 and her husband welcomed their second child, a daughter, Emily Grace on March 16, 2013.
Mary Siefert Zander ’00 of Cincinnati, Oh and her husband welcomed their 2nd child, Grace Noel on November 8, 2011. Also, Mary received a promotion to Manager of Medical Writing at INC Research in June 2012.
Jill Ward Heltman '01 of Cincinnati welcomed her second child on April 5, 2011. Layla Susanne Heltman was 22 inches long and weighed 9 lbs 10 oz. Jill also recently became the sales and marketing manager for Village Pantry Catering and RSVP Event Center in Loveland.
Betsy Owens Jones ’01 of Cincinnati is the co-founder of Five Star Volleyball, along with former coach John Spinney. In their seventh year, they offer camps and training programs for grade school and high school girls.
Gloria Thornburg ’02 has been selected by the Secondary Schools Department and the Executive Committee as a recipient of the NCEA Catholic Secondary Schools Department Educational Excellence Award.
Megan Garrity Mears ’06 of Cincinnati married Joshua Mears on December 29, 2012, in Springfield, Ohio. Megan currently works as a second grade teacher at St. Ignatius Loyola School in Cincinnati.
Annie Barkley Horn ‘08 of Cincinnati, and husband Louie welcomed their daughter, Kate Elizabeth Horn, into the world on March 18, 2013. Kate weighed in at 7.8 lbs. and 19.5 inches long.
