The Office of Alumni Relations would like to introduce: Andy Brunsman ’10. In 2006, Andy stepped foot on the Mount’s campus joining the ranks of the football team. He spent time playing quarterback on the football team, including playing on the 2006 HCAC Football Championship Team. During his time as a student, he was a communications studies major in the Honors Program and working at Our Daily Bread through the Service Learning Program and SC Ministry Summer Employment Program. Humbled by his experience working with the low-income population, he sought a career in the nonprofit world. “The Mount’s mission drove me to a career in the service sector. The Mount encouraged me to be the change I wanted to see in the world and helped me take the mission of the Mount and Sisters of Charity into the community.” After graduating, Andy worked at the Ronald McDonald House of Greater Cincinnati, Our Daily Bread, Welcome House of Northern Kentucky, and in 2013 he became the executive director at Be Concerned Inc., a nonprofit food pantry in Northern Kentucky serving the underprivileged.
Andy’s love for the Mount has remained strong. He serves as the Alumni Board President and also serves on the MSJ Service Learning Advisory Board. Andy is a champion for the Mount. He often hosts the Mount for annual faculty and staff service days at Be Concerned, Inc., and has represented the Mount across the Greater Cincinnati area.
