For the second time in only three years, the Mount St. Joseph University athletic training students won the Ohio Athletic Trainers Association (OATA) Collegiate Quiz Bowl. This year's competition at Cedarville University featured AT programs from all across the state. Athletic training chairperson BC Charles-Liscombe and instructor/AT club advisor Erin Lewis also attended the symposium.

Athletic training students Adrien Brooks '16, Kyle Sterwerf '15 and Nicole Wirth '15 earned first place competing against 17 teams from accredited AT programs in Ohio.

The Mount also won the AT skills relay (team of Sterwerf, brooks, junior Pam Wisniewski and sophomore Katie Seither), which was a fun activity for students to compete in taping, bandaging and rehabilitation skills.

Junior athletic training student Jessica Volciak was on the planning committee for the meeting as the southwestern district senator for OATA.

The team will compete next in March at the Great Lakes AT Association meeting against teams representing Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana. The district winner will advance to the national championship at the NATA annual meeting in St. Louis, Mo. in June.

Congrats to all the students and professors involved!
