Biology professors are used to assigning hands on projects and labs, but Dr. Andy Rasmussen always looks forward to his beer brewing class.

His students have to work in teams to create a beer which is judged by other biology professors. They have to choose from a list of kinds of beer including an American IPA, German Blonde, American Brown Ale, Irish Red Ale, American Wheat, and a Robust Porter. The process takes several weeks from start to finish.

This year's judges were Dr. Mark Fischer, Dr. Eric Johnson and Dr. Jill Russell.

Watch this Tell Us In Two video where Dr. Rasmussen explains brewing as a science.
