Biography:

Dr. Hofmeyer is an alumna of the Mount's MPT and DPT programs. She practices and has interest in the geriatric population within the skilled nursing setting and is board certified as a Geriatric Certified Specialist (GCS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.  Dr. Hofmeyer has previously served in administration and management roles as a Therapy Director, Area Director, and Center Coordinator of Clinical Education. She is an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor. Dr. Hofmeyer was appointed to the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board by the Governor of Ohio where she oversees issues of current physical therapy practice, policy, and health care law and is a member of the Federation State Boards of Physical Therapy.  Dr. Hofmeyer joined the program as a full-time faculty member in 2015 after serving as an Adjunct Professor at the Mount from 2009-2015. Dr. Hofmeyer currently teaches courses in Professional Socialization, Administration/Consultation and Advocacy, and Health Care Policy, and assists Dr. Dehner in Geriatrics and Jamie Bayliss as Assistant Director of Clinical Education.
