Biography:
Ms. Franchak serves has held numerous positions within the field of higher education including academic advising, admissions, student activities, career development. In 2006, she was selected as one of five individuals to collaboratively create a new Career Services Center at Xavier University. At Xavier, she helped determine the needs of the campus and created a new model for students and alumni.
In 2011, she became the Director of the Mount’s Career & Experiential Education Center (CEEC) where she oversees career development, cooperative education, service learning, and prior learning assessment. Experiential education is a required curricular component at the Mount. Each year, there are over 200 service learners and 250-275 co-ops positioned at numerous community partners and employers.
Ms. Franchak encourages all students to utilize the services provided by the CEEC and to begin thinking about their career needs early in their college years.
