Dana Freer joined the Mount in 2012. Aside from her most recent experience—teaching middle school math and language arts—Dr. Freer spent the bulk of the last twenty years, working in various student affairs administrative positions, including at the University of North Carolina—Wilmington, the University of Cincinnati (Raymond Walters College), and Northern Kentucky University. Her focus, and doctoral research, is on student retention and how to help students achieve their academic and personal goals. She has managed student affairs departments and divisional budgets; served as a university ombudsman; and has chaired university retention committees at two separate institutions. Dr. Freer became the Director of the Learning Center and Disability Services at the College of Mount St. Joseph in 2012.
