Dr. McCafferty is an assistant professor and Director of the Instructional Leadership Program in the Department of Graduate Education. Having earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Cincinnati, he has been preparing candidates for school leadership for over twenty years while helping lead the Administrator Development Academy (ADA) for the University of Cincinnati. In addition to teaching Dr. McCafferty sits on the board of the Ohio Council of Professors of Educational Administration, serving as president-elect and president for the OCPEA, 2012 – 2014. He also serves as the Chair of the Graduate Leadership Committee for the School of Education. The principal licensure program developed at Mount St. Joseph University seeks to combine theory and practice according to the needs of aspiring school leaders. The principal licensure program is delivered online and supported with monthly cohort meetings at the Mount for hands on learning experiences. Dr. McCafferty lives in Newport, Kentucky with his devoted spouse, Renee and daughters, Lauren and Anna.
