Biography:

Dr. Miller is an assistant professor of literacy education in the Department of Undergraduate Education. She is a reading specialist with almost twenty years of elementary classroom experience. Having earned her Ph.D. at the University of Cincinnati and two degrees from Xavier University, Professor Miller's research interests include reader response and curriculum theory, specifically the integration of fine arts activities in literacy classrooms.

Dr. Miller writes and arranges music for the Xavier University Jazz Ensemble, and helped produce three musical CDs for the XUJE. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling with her children, reading, and listening to a wide variety of musical genres.
