The Department of Criminology at Mount St. Joseph University invites applications for a Department Chair at the rank of Assistant Professor. This is a fast-track, tenure-track position, which requires a candidate have a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience as an Assistant Professor at an accredited institution of higher education.
Qualifications: We seek applicants with an earned Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or Criminology, and 3-4 years’ experience at the College or University level. The applicant is expected to have demonstrated ability to conduct and publish significant research, as well as contribute to a teaching focused environment committed to collegiality, diversity, and undergraduate studies. The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership in an academic or industry setting.
Duties: The faculty member will serve as Chair, teach a 3/3 load, advise students, and meet tenure-track requirements.
