The College of Mount St. Joseph invites qualified applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the Division of Education to begin in August 2014. The successful candidate will have expertise in Reading Science. Candidates must have an earned doctoral degree in reading, with recent teaching experience in grades K-12. In addition, candidates should have a proven record of undergraduate or graduate teaching experience. Responsibilities include new program development, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in reading, academic advising, supervising students’ field experiences, and maintaining an ongoing program of research. Experience with online/blended teaching is preferred.
The Division of Education offers a dynamic and challenging curriculum for undergraduate and graduate education students. Applicants should submit a letter of application with statements of reading instruction philosophy and research interests, a curriculum vita, representative teaching evaluations (if possible), and a list of three references.
