‘74, B.A. Art, College of Mount St. Joseph
My most significant memory from the Mount is of my Senior Thesis BFA Show. Sharon Rutterer Stanton and I joined our talents to redesign the tunnel between the library and the administration building. We used the color-coded pipes running across the ceiling as our inspiration and painted the walls, ceiling and floor adding found object sculptures. The show was the culmination of our art studies and became the physical reality that we were artists. After four years of being taught, guided and supported by the Mount art faculty – John Nartker, Betty Brothers, and Dan Mader, we were now ready to move on from this safe haven to the world beyond.
